Skyrim Special Edition allows modders to utilise more memory and allows more mods to be used at once and acts as an improved starting point for future graphical enhancements. Yes, it can be argued that the Skyrim Special Edition is just Skyrim's Original PC version with a few graphical enhancement mods, but in reality is a stronger base for future modding.
